The next generation of the usage of lol. Lol is outdated and now cliche. If you really want to express that you are laughing, lol++ is lol incremented; meaning an added kick. Can also be used in chat etc. to indicate a laugh after a laugh.
Person 1: Dude, I crashed my bike into a tree last night. Person 2: Lol. Person 1: Yeah, I was so drunk, i ended up laying in the ditch until this afternoon because I couldn't crawl out of it in my stupor. Person 2: Lol++.

Chatspeak for "laughing out loud". Often overused. Say it when you have nothing else to say, for it can spur discussion.
user 1: LOL LOL LOL LOL!!!
user 2: What are you laughing at?
user 1: I just thought of an inside joke! ROFL!
user 2: Wow. Fascinating.

Stands for Laugh Out Loud or Laughing Out Loud. This is commonly used throughout text/the internet, used to express amusement between other people. LOL is not to be confused with Lots of Love, which can often lead to awkward/bad moments if the two get mixed up.*
1. Did you see the fat guy at the mall?
omg yes! lol!!!!
2. I'm so very sorry to hear of your grandfather's passing. LOL!*

An extension of the popular internet and text messaging acronym 'lol', the difference being when the 'lol' is aimed at something, or someone, in particular, and not necessarily as a general amusement to the conversation.
Person 1: I got a bad mark at my maths mock yesterday. Didn't care - got a crap teacher anyway.
Person 2: Lol@Mr Garrison!
