Sack cheese scraper: A small hand held devise that is used by lover's of fine sack cheeses to gently scrape the fine creamy cheese off of the cheesemakers warm sack.

hen-scratching

this term can be defined to mean either

a) someone's singing that sounds so horrendously bad it's as if a hen or rooster is literally scratching a blackboard.

b) a synonym, used mainly in Alberta in Western Canada, for turkey-chicken scrawl or terrible penmanship

two people who are in conversation, suddenly hear an unfamiliar voice coming from their school's basement.

person b) i think it's my friend Paul trying to sing, but he's singing out of tune with our high school band..

scraper towel

Combination of "paper towel" and "scrape," describing the act of using a paper towel to blow your nose. The paper towel is so rough that feels like you are "scraping" your nose. This emergency measure should only be enacted when you do not have access to a tissue or toilet paper. It often helps to wet the paper towel first in order to soften the sharp edges. All in all, it is generally thought better to sacrifice a few nose hairs in order to take care of whatever business you have going on up in your nose.

Why is your nose bleeding?

I had to use a scraper towel in the mens room.

meaning either:

a) a discarded cigarette end.

or

b) a small piece of gristle from the end of a piece of meat.

usually used as an insult, especially when the latter meaning is in context. used by those of a more chav-like disposition, or when emulating or parodising a chav

scrat

Enormous black squirrel-like creatures, without the fluffy tails characteristic of squirrels. Probably the unholy spawn of a squirrel-rat union. One is known to live near the Administration Building on UMBC campus.

Watch that scrat. He's been giving those three squirrels over there orders or something. It looks like they're building a pile of sticks, or maybe a catapult.
