Commonly used to refer to gambling addicts who are pushing 40 and still believe that parlays are a good investment.

The term can become a verbal or written response to public statements that are not fact-based with the acronym "MUSH" (Made-Up SHit) becoming a simple reply by a person in disagreement to the public statement content.

In comparison to Fact Based Journalism (FBJ) a person can make a MUSH statement that has no degree of authenticity other than the commentor's personal belief.
