Dogs hair by the nose

Traditional hangover cure.

Before the days of paracetamol, a traditional rumoured cure for a hangover was to put a small amount of dogs hair (or a whole dog) to your nose.

The pheromones given off by canines were said to help alleviate dry mouth and headaches caused by excessive home distilled gin and other strong alcoholic drinks

Hey, Emily, my hangover is terrible today.

Try some dogs hair by the nose!

The method by which a head panhandler, transports, drops off, and uses, a large group of panhandling persons, in order to create a much larger amount of panhandled and pooled money; upon which, the head panhandler also receives a certain percentage, or cut, from the entire group's; daily, panhandled and pooled amount, in exchange for his/her transport services rendered to the group, or his/her, "dogs".

I saw a head panhandler dropping off his group of panhandling "dogs" at different locations in the city today.
