Wörtlich "Straßenglaubwürdigkeit", meint, dass jemand mit einer hohen "street credibility" (abgekürzt "street cred") nicht in einer wohlbehaltenen geschützten reichen Umgebung aufgewachsen ist, sondern "von der Straße kommt", also aus der Unterschicht, Arbeiterklasse in ärmeren Gebieten mit erhöhter Kriminalität, dabei auch selbst oftmals kleinkriminell. Dagegen eine niedrige oder keine "street cred" gilt für Kinder reicherer Eltern des Bürgertums, gute Schulbildung, z.T. Privatschulen.

Eminem hat eine Menge street credibility.

This translates a Hebrew slang word lefargenwhich doesn't exist in English or English slang. It is the combination of two words, to give credit too and praise someone.

Credit Siv

someone who does no work but takes all of the credit, someone who uses "we" when it comes to work she wants you to do, but sits and takes all of the credit herself for the work that you did. Someone who doesnt talk to you for 2 days if you dont do 110% of her work. Someone who acts stressed out and screams and swears to act like shes busy so no one bothers her. someone who leaves work early all of the time. someone whos time off grows interest.

Crazy Eye is SUCH a lazy credit siv, she needs to retire.

credit crunch tea

Ususally used in an office environment, this term describes when there are not many teabags left so it is prudent to use 1 teabag for an entire round of teas to make the remaining bags last as long as possible. So named due to the reluctance to shell out for a new pack of tea due to the global credit crunch.

Paul: Justin are you making the teas then?
Justin: Sure... Only 3 bags left so is everyone up for a credit crunch tea?
Paul: Yeah go on then.

Having a cheap lunch in order to save money. Food such as cheese spread sandwiches, simply value foods and unbranded cola.

Credit Based Entity

A coworker or boss who works harder trying to figure out how to get credit for the work of others, rather than actually working themselves.

That's an awesome idea and at least you won't have to worry about Keith trying to be a Credit Based Entity (CBE) because it's right after yearly reviews and he'll be working from home for next three months.
