Ridin' a Buzz

To get a buzz on through alcohol, drugs, or both. And as the buzz wans, you take a little more to bump your buzz back up. Doing this multiple times is known as ridin' a buzz because essentially you're in a constant state of being semi-intoxicated by continually drinking over a course of time, but not too drunk or veggin' out.

This is similar to a bender in that you can ride a buzz ad inifitum, however, being buzzed and wasted are too different animals. Also this should not be confused with ridin' a bus, but this can be done while doing that.

The movie Dazed and Confused, almost everyone in it is ridin' a buzz.

Hard Buzz

The ideal level of drunk you want to maintain over the course of a protracted period of time. Ideally used to describe how you want to feel during an entire vacation/weekend/wedding/etc. On a scale it is above sober but the upper limit is loosely defined as below blackout

A:"You ready for our vacation in Spain!?"
B; "Yeah, I just want to get a hard buzz for the next 10 days and enjoy the finer things in life"

Christmas buzz

A feeling common during the month of December. It is the need to buy many overpriced gifts for your family, normally on a credit card. The buyer feels no feelings of regret for the rest of the month, as he/she feels they are being a good person. The Christmas buzz is always followed by the New Year's hangover, when the credit card bill comes in and the buyer goes on a rant about how much money they have spent.

You're buying a nintendo wii off ebay for 500 dollars for your kid? Must be the Christmas buzz.
