Let's not and say we did

An old phrase which reentered popular culture in the early 90s after being used in The Simpsons by the character Ned Flanders. It subsequently became a minor catch phrase of his, used in some Simpsons merchandise.

It means exactly what it says (the "say we did" part may or may not be sarcastic) but is often said in a patronizing tone or otherwise as a witty remark in a variety of situations.
Girlfriend: Hey we should go ballroom dancing sometime it looks like fun!
Bloke: Uh let's not and say we did...

Pissed Dude (Getting Carried Away): Huh that 60 year old barmaid looks like such a slut. I bet you could pull her. Infact I bet we could be fucking her from both ends at the same time before the night's out haha, that's how much of a desperate slut she is.
Other Guy: Haha yea but let's not and say we did!
Pissed Dude: Hah damn right

not my brand of whiskey

not my area of expertise
boy: dad can you help me with physics homework?

father: non, physics is not my brand of whiskey. i am a chemical engineer.
What a guy says when he knows what he's pissed off about is stupid, knows it will sound stupid coming out of his mouth, but can't quickly get over it.
Whats wrong?

not the sharpest pencil in the drawer

a clever euphamism for someone who lacks intelligence

Seth - "Did you hear about Werner? He tried to start his car with lighter fluid."

Taylor - "I'm not surprised; he's not the sharpest pencil in the drawer."

Academy of Notre Dame

The premier all-girls catholic prep school in Philadelphia. The "Teach them what they need to know for life" motto is very fitting. St.Julie is a prominent figure and should be as she is their foundress. Whether it's statues or her feast day, the girls are aware. The girls her are respectful and truly come out of their shell. They don't care what people think of them and speak their mind. While most are athletic, many also spend the majority of their time in the dance studio or in the Connelly arts building. They defy many of the all girls school stereotypes in that the girls are almost always kind to each other. Door holding and hellos are common and many girls are quite nice. The girls like to have fun, and often gripe about the amount of work but for the most part get good grades. Baked goods are coveted at ND and when you miss your assigned snack day for your put in the mead hall with Grendel. But while this school is excellent in all academic, athletic and social aspects, they lack in the boy department. Unless you know boys from your childhood or they live around the corner, you don't meet guys through ND. The crazy good atmosphere here makes up for the lack of guys. From their IRISH sports bras to their ND socks, these girls are sisters neath the gold and blue and seem to adhere to the Honor Code. GO ND!
"Hey you got a prom date yet?"
"Not exactly, I think I'm going to ask this guy I went to elementary school with."

"Qui est bon de bon dieu!"
"What?"
"There's a sunflower right there"
"So?"
"How good it the good god? Sunflowers turn toward the sun you know."
"Oh ok so you went to the Academy of Notre Dame most girls from there know a ridiculous amount info on sunflowers."

I love you, but I'm not in love with you.

Statement used to express regret and or fear about the current situation of an amorous or once amorous relationship. It generally means that the person who is expressing himself/herself has a deep emotional bond with their current mate, but that bond is possibly/probably not strong enough to merit a lifetime, or long-term commitment. Usually, there is either some dissatisfaction, disappointment, or confusion on the part of the person using this statement.
Example (interchangeable):

Woman: Why can't we be together?
Man: I love you, but I'm not in love with you.
Woman: What does that mean?
Man: It means that I need something in my life that being with you is just not able to provide. If you need anything, I'm there, but we aren't working.
