The reason for the Micro-harassment is based on bias, racism, prejudice, generalizations, stereotypes, assumptions, or other source of disdain for the targeted person(s). The target usually has no awareness of what the reason is or what prompted the reasoning. The target usually can not change whatever prompted the harasser's reasoning. Micro-harassment is often undectable to anyone who isn't experiencing it presently or experienced it previously. Micro-harassment is detrimental to a target's mental, physical, and emotional health.

HR doesn't understand the I am the target of Micro-harassment because they don't recognize the ongoing micro-aggressive comments that are rampant within department meetings.
