Woke Brand

A brand or private company that claims that they support political issues relating to civil rights or social justice, but mainly out of cynical reasons such as to spark controversy or increase their media coverage, popularity, and profit.

The term was popularized by the youtuber Hbomberguy in his video titled "WOKE BRANDS".

"Amazon said on Twitter that they support Black Lives Matter and condemn police brutality. This is the same company that sold surveillance technology to the US-government just one year earlier. Real fucking woke brand right there."
