Scan Man

Usually an IT geek who is in charge of scanning large amounts of paper or files. Scan Man identifies and fixes any scanning errors and is sometimes revered as a type of pseudo super hero. Scan Man is often seen wearing t-shirts with software or trade show logos. Scan Man has also been known to sport high waters when required to dress up.

Scan Man came to the rescue yesterday when the scanner jammed and the entire system almost shut down.

pre-scan

A scanning technique in which the scanner performs backspoofing on a list of numbers to find out which ones have interesting CLID names. Telco test numbers will often have the name of the telco come up (ie. Verizon).

I did a pre-scan in 907 and found tons of test numbers from the Mukluk telephone company.

Scanatheist

Basically a atheist who denies the reality of God, but feels the need to stand on a soap box and preach the wrong doings and fairy stories of Christians so much that they actually become more obnoxious than the Christian, rather than just accepting the fact that everyone has different beliefs.

Religious Person: I believe in God.

Atheist: Really? that's interesting. I don't personally but I'd love to sit down with you and discuss the issue sometime.

Religious Person: I be live in God.

Scanatheist: You be live in God? I don't believe in God and I have absolute faith in science because it's completely accurate and irrefutable.
