To get a rake in your face is to be turned down when you ask someone out. When one thinks about it, one would say that the image is good to represent the feeling felt when turned down, which is similar to that of stepping on a rake, it's embarassing and hurts :)

This can said for boys and girls

"did you Ask her out?"
"yeah..."

"It's a rake..."

Rake shake

When a person puts a metal rake into an electrical circuit, and the electric pulse makes the person violently shake.

This morning I put my metal rake in to an electrical circuit and the high voltage of electrical pluses ran through my body causing me to rake shake.

My brother did the rake shake last night and he almost died.
