Hype-block is a term that means being desensitized or being blocked from enjoyably partaking or consuming media of a certain topic mainly due to the hype being exuded by people around you, or by a majority of users online.
Person 1: "Yooo! Have you seen that new Spy x Family anime?"
Person 2: "Nah, my friends were so crazy about that show, so I got hype-blocked."
Person 2: "Nah, my friends were so crazy about that show, so I got hype-blocked."
