Merk/Murch

A term used to refer to the Murchison Road area in the city of Fayetteville, NC. The term was coined during the late 80's by locals to describe what had happen to some one who had visited that area and had been killed. It is believed that the name Murchison was shortened to Murch and then adapted to the spelling Merk.

Merkantalism

Merking everybody non-stop as they try to snake their way through traffic. Often used while playing Mario Kart as a policy towards the other racers. As they try to snake their way past you, you simply hit them with a shell, banana, bomb, or other item in order to merk them. When done correctly this will drop them back a few places as well as bring shame upon their racing reputation.

When Pat entered first place on his favorite course, Figure 8 Circuit, we all let out a chuckle as I said "Well look who's about to get merked by my blue shell." *I paused, waiting for my shell to hit Pat* "You can call that Merkantalism."

merkingaga

a merkin that is made out of something unusual instead of the normal synthetic hair......in honor of Lady Gaga. Feathers or a Colorful Clown wig cut down to size would be acceptable...

For example, lisa did not want to wear a normal merkin. So she made her own "merkingaga" in Lady Gaga style with some peacock feathers. She also made one from a clown wig that was cut down to size.

merkaba

A Merkaba is an inner spaceship temple. "Mer" means Light. "Ka" means Spirit. "Ba" means Body. It is the divine light vehicle used by ascended masters to connect with and reach those in tune with the higher realms.
