Collateral Damage

When someone is having major issues in their life that are totally unrelated to you but for some insane reason they are taking it out on you. You are now collateral damage in a fight that they should be having with someone else.

When Julie caught Tommy cheating on her she became convinced that all her friends were sleeping with him. She exploded on everyone and we were all collateral damage.

damaged goods

A person, who makes themselves emotionally unavailable due to unfortunate circumstances in the past. Which in turn makes their significant other pay for the mistakes they had to deal with in the past. Damaged goods tend to run away from their problems instead of facing them head on and tend to make assumptions about present situations due to experiences from the past.

"Why is he being such a dick to me? Did I do something wrong?"

"Naw, he's just damaged goods."

"Why does he have such a problem communicating with me?

"Duh, cuz he's damaged goods!"

"Damn this girl is playing some serious head games"

"Yo bro, it's cuz she's damaged goods"

terrible, terrible damage

A phrase often used by StarCraft II lead designer Dustin Browder while commentating Battle Reports for the game.

StarCraft community members have adopted the phrase, using it to describe their reaction to anything that is mind-blowing, hilarious, shocking or downright insulting.

It has also (jokingly) been proposed as a StarCraft II cheat code.

"The banelings roll in and - OH, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE DAMAGE as they explode into those marines!"

"Check out the video below for terrible terrible damage!"
