A term frequently used to deflect blame or criticism from your political party's candidates or representatives by diverting attention away and passing it to the opposition party's candidates or representatives. This tool is especially useful when it is blatantly obvious to the most casual observer that your candidate or representative is guilty as hell.

John: "Wow I can't believe that President Trump abused the power of his office by asking the president of the Ukraine to dig up dirt on Joe Biden AFTER Joe had announced his candidacy for the president of the US for 2020."
