An asterisk is used (*) in terms of correction of when a word is misspelled or mistaken for another. It is placed at the end of the correct word to replace a clearly definable mistake in a sentence.
The asterisk period is the time period stretching from Feb. 15th until July 31st, which is the time between gift giving holidays. This time period is best for having a girlfriend due to the fact, other than birthdays and anniversaries you don't have to worry about getting gifts for her. This time period is called the asterisk period due to the fact the most action happens during rather than the rest of the year named the Quotation Period due to the fact the most relationship building and talking happens then... mostly because you will be buying so many gifts for her.
