Someone who self diagnoses themselves with every "new to them" mental illness or oppressed minority they see trending so they can feel included in all of the awareness attention and try to manipulate people's thoughts, feelings, and behavior towards them. Needs coddled 24/7 and can not handle being spoken directly in disagreements.

"Did you see Janine came out as non-binary yesterday?" "Is that the same person that 'caught' PTSD to get out of work last week?" "Yeah they got tired of being told they were mansplaining so they decided they weren't a man anymore, such a trauma vulture. Bet they'll have D.I.D. next week."

trauma sponge

One whom others naturally and sometimes inexplicably turn to with their problems. They "soak" up the "stains" of their issues, leaving the teller feeling better at having relieved themselves of bearing the burden of their problems alone. Usually an uninvolved party who is considered to have a more objective opinion of the situation.

It happened again! I was at a party talking to this girl and five minutes later she was crying on my shoulder telling me about her parents divorce!

I am such a trauma sponge, all my friends talk to me when they're sad.

A term used by Emergency Medical Services personnel to describe Type II ambulances or van-style ambulances.

American Medical Response uses Trauma Twinkies as opposed to a box-style ambulance.

Trauma drafting

Trauma drafting is when you follow loosely behind an ambulance, fire truck, or other emergency vechicle who's sirens are on to catch the green lights that they've turned in their favor and take advantage of the fact that everyone in front of them has pulled over.

Husband: "Wow- You made it home in record time!"

Wife: "Yeah, I was trauma drafting all the way down University Ave. I think there's a fire or something down the street."
