permafrust

A state of permanent frustration.

Permafrust: Just when you think you are getting somewhere the world conspires to halt you within sight of the finish line. Being flexible, you modify your plan of attack and so does the world. Repeat ad nauseum.

Similar to the case of a seed trapped under perrmafrost, you are completely snowed under with no obvious way to reach sunlight that you can sense is just on the other side of the ice.

permagrub

In the survival game rust, a grub is a low-tier player (although people near endgame may still do things considered "grubbing" to get loot or mess with other players) who employs underhanded tactics such as door camping, shotgun traps, double-barrel dashing, and general pussy shit to get loot they need to progress.

A permagrub is someone who, no matter how much loot they have, continue to grub as they prefer the playstyle or have gear fear. Also applies to other survival games like Tarkov and Dayz.

"OOOOOHH MY FUCKING GOD DUDE, THIS KID IS SITTING OUTSIDE OUR BASE AGAIN!"
"Who? is it xXx_Pus$yEatr_xXx?"
"YESSS! That kid is a fucking permagrub!"

That one employee that no matter how they are treated or how much they make will never be happy at work and are permanently disgruntled with their job.
