An abbreviation for Public Displays of Dieting. Used as a shortened term, usually in a SMS or internet forum. Similar to PDA, LOL or OMG.

On Facebook... "(Name) is now a fan of Weight Watchers".
Informing innocent viewers of your constant battle with your weight and general appearance is not public information, and therefore PDOD. Try and maintain a happy, confident persona!
