I'd call Ann Coulter an ignorant cow, but that would be insulting to the cow; cows (and dogs) are too cute and too smart to be seen as horrible; she's a fly.

The term derives from the fact that cows produce copious amounts of intestinal gas on a continual basis, ergo, to "go cowing" is to intentionally go out in public to flatulate like a cow.

(I recall this word being used back about 1975. It was coined such because apparently some people, when they were getting upset, would make a somewhat long and gutteral sound that amazingly sounded like a cow mooing.
