Metric Ounce

A net weight of thirty grams however is passed off or considered to be a standard Imperial ounce (28.35g) with little debate or congestion. Most commonly found in drug culture in countries primarily using the Metric system (i.e. Australia) as some dealers are unaware of how much an ounce actually is, how to set their scales to Imperial units, and/or cannot be bothered measuring to exactly 28.35g. Among some drug users and dealers a Metric ounce is considered to be the standard measurement for an ounce, and is even just referred to as an ounce.

John: How much for the ounce?
David: $200.
John: Nice. Metric ounce?
David: Yeah, of course.

Cincinnati Ounce

An "ounce" of 25 grams. Used similarly to a "baker's dozen" so the customer doesn't cause trouble for being ripped off accidentally or, more rarely, out of simple generosity. Originated in Fairfield, a city north of Cincinnati.

"You positive this is an ounce?"

"Yeah, and I made it a Cincinnati Ounce just to be sure."

Half Ounce

Approximately 14 grams of marijuana. Cost around here (Florida Panhandle) is usually around $50-$60.

We were gonna buy a quarter for $30, but saved some bucks and bought a half ounce for $50.
