Its a promise that has about a 50/50 chance of becoming true, usually when the promiser either will only complete their promise if they feel like it later, or when they are secretly hoping that the person/people they are promising will forget about the promise. Maybe Promises most commonly come from YouTubers, Redditors, or people named Casey. The chances of them completing the promise usually increase dramatically once the person/people they promised have the balls to pressure them, after they come to the realization that they are experiencing a Maybe Promise.
