A primary example of how awful today's music is. She is a 13-year-old girl who has a nasally voice and terrible lyrics. She gained internet notoriety when a video of herself performing the song "Friday" exploded onto YouTube. The video was essentially her singing nonsensical lyrics about having a good time on friday night. At this rate she will probably become the next Justin Bieber (not a compliment).
Rebecca Black: Sittin' in the front seat, Sittin' in the back seat. Gotta make my mind up, which seat can I take?
Anyone with a brain: Ummm did you seriously just sing a whole verse about which seat you want to take? I thought this song was about friday.

Get the Rebecca Black mug.Rebecca Black is essentially the female counterpart to Justin Bieber. Before the release of her music video called "Friday" on February 10, 2011, she was an unknown singer. She didn't gain much popularity until mid-March, coincidently, on a Friday.
The video and singing are so terribly bad that people are driven to share it with others, just so that they can have a laugh. However, many people feel the need to cut their ears off after experiencing the effects of god-awful auto-tuning on a prepubescent abomination to music.
The only plus sides to her video "Friday" are that anyone who listens to it will immediately learn 4 days of the week and the order they go in. During this process, however, people also tend to pick up poor grammar, saying things like "We we we so excited". People have also said that thanks to her video, they have learned how to make life altering decisions, such as choosing a seat in a car full of teens.
Overall both the music video and the singing are dreadful, and hopefully for society's sake, the whole thing was a massive prank, to which a congratulations is in order for making people think music had really degraded to such a level. If the video was real, then God help us all!
