An AIM bot found on AIM Instant Messenger that would automatically respond to anything you say, basically repeating what you say or answering in another suitable fashion. It has since been removed from being an AIM bot and every time you try to message it, the only response is "my brain is now retired". It used to give funny responses from time to time such as in the example below.

Me: I liked banging your mom last night.
SmarterChild: I know you liked banging my mom last night, I'm just not sure how I feel about it.

A nerd that know everything and everyone hates this person exept for the other "smartiepants" This person has broken glasses from getting pushed by some jocks. This person is always like actually the answer is this blah blah blah and everyone is saying in their head "shut the fuck up"

to smarten somebody up - to make look nicer or neat in appearance

purportedly, kidnapped child Natascha Kampusch's kidnapper would try to smarten her up and photograph her when he had beaten her up. (Don't like this example though it's the source - from Wikipedia. Better example anyone ?)
