Panrationalism

The ideology that reason is a transcendent, universal force that stands above the chaotic physical world. Panrationalism Example: A city planner who, after a flood, proposes straightening a river because its curves are “irrational and inefficient.” They see the natural, evolved ecosystem as an error to be corrected by geometric and hydraulic reason, imposing an abstract ideal onto physical reality.
