A person you once dated who checked all your boxes of your dream partner but in reality it didn’t work out between y’all and now you’re looking for him/her in every other person you date. Sad but true. I feel you.

Paperweight partner

A person that you are in a relationship with that doesn't actually do what a romantic relationship entails. They don't care for you emotionally, unironically using the term "emotional labor" as a turn-off. They neither cook nor clean. They may offer sex and they may look pretty for you, but that's it. This isn't love.

Hence the word "paperweight," a pretty thing that is actually useless.

A system partner is when someone dates a system and all of that systems alters don't date anyone except that person. Other systems can be system partners but singlets can also be system partners

Life Partner

A person you love who feels the same towards you. You both are comfortable with each other and share a bond that not even you could break if you wanted to. No matter what happens you will always be connected someway, somehow. You don’t have to be in a romantic relationship with a person to be a life partner, sometimes you just are what you are.

when a waiter or bartender is working in a very loud bar or restaurant and cannot completely hear what the customer is saying but they start to laugh when they thought it was a time to insert laughter.
also known as a courtesy laugh when a customer says something at all remotely funny so you use the waiter laugh or bartender laugh to make the customer think they are funny.

I was table-side when the family was talking to me and I started using my "courtesy (waiter laugh or bartender laugh) laugh" when Mr. Young told the same story he has told 45 times previously.
