run aground

An expression from the Outer Banks of North Carolina, referring to one's being completely full or satiated after eating. It is a somewhat humurous reference to the large numbers of ships that run aground on the treacherous sand bars of the Outer Banks.

Bill pushed himself back from the table and said, "I can't eat another bite. I believe I've run aground."

Arrow to the knee

A new phrase originated from the role-playing game "Elder Scrolls Skyrim." Sometimes a guard in Skyrim will explain his life-story to you and then end it with the fact he took an arrow to the knee thus ending his adventure capabilities. The phrase has become extremely popular on the web, and his used very often.

a small ass town between running springs and big bear in california where a crap load of skin heads and/or rednecks live. there is also a lake - well, i wouldnt even call it a lake is more of a puddle and the only thing there is to do is sit on "the couch" - oh, wait, a snow plow killed the couch... now we just have to chill at the depot (gas station).... damn
