Semi-Formal

A way of styling clothes, in which you are more formal than everyday clothes, but less formal than a formal event, such as black-tie events. Some popular places where you will find this are in this are school dances, work parties, and brunches.

Mary: “Hey, did you hear that Homecoming is semi-formal? What are you going to wear?”
Jenny: “I found this cute dress from Kohl’s that’s the perfect mix of formal and casual! I’m so excited for the dance!”

One who is commonly not recognized in public, yet has had some sort of media exposure. Common examples include Real World "stars" and former America's Next Top Models.

I was in California for two full months and I only saw one semi-lebrity. Typical.

Endorsing and/or idolizing of behavior that could directly or indirectly lead to a person committing suicide or dying by their own volition.

I'm getting sick and tired of constantly saying that Mia needs to lose weight when he knows that she has struggled with her self-image for years, now. It is starting to feel like semi-suicidolization.

Semi-Straight

Being a Cheez-it or 'Ginger' and creating Facebook statused that are of a heterosexual nature. They usually do not entail sexual innuendo's towards other males, or the offering of sexual acts. Once statuses become not semi-straight it may be difficult to make them semi-straight and its even more unlikely for them to become straight again.
