Cinematic Fermentation

A process of when a movie was made years ago, when it wasn't as groundbreaking by critics and/or audience, gradually developed into something timeless over a period of years. A movie from the 80s or 90s that didn't work during that era, but works now in present time.

Demolition Man is a great example of cinematic fermentation!

Dirty Ferdie

The Dirty Ferdie is when a losing field hockey team has their tallest defender sprint to the 50 yard line and take a massive shit right there in the middle of the field. This will distract the opposing team enough that the losing team should have the opportunity to score to hopefully tie the game. This is considered a "fool proof plan" in the game of field hockey.

The team was losing, but tied up the game when they pulled the dirty ferdie in order to distract the other team.

It can also be used when someone stops talking to you mid-conversation and vanishes for long periods of time without an explanation given to you before or after.

The joke is that they were met with an extinction event that they couldn't survive through and now do not exist.
