Basically it's Urban Dictionary but with all the entries based around sex-realted slang replaced by intellectual thought. A good proportion of it may or may not be written by crazy people in caves who haven't seen sunlight in years, and as a result believe that "splinkard" is a real world.

"Do NOT quote wikipedia in your dissertation! It is not an academic source." Bloody useful though.

Wikipe-tan

A fictional anime-style preteen girl who is the official mascot of Wikipedia. Originally created by Kasuga, an admin on the Japanese Wikipedia. After it was learned that Kasuga draws cartoon child pornography off-site as a "hobby", this caused a minor PR disaster on Wikipedia. (Ironically in Japanese, "tan" refers to someone you want to have sex with - in the case of Wikipedos, a preteen girl apparently).

Wikipedia administrator: "Oh no! If the public finds out that the creator of Wikipe-tan is a hentai child porn freak, this will destroy Wikipedia's reputation!"

wik-ee-ped-nt (n.)

1. a person who is excessively concerned with looking up minor details and rules on wikis (notably Wikipedia) or with displaying their internet-learning, esp. when it has just been learned.
2. a person who adheres rigidly to the content of wiki pages without regard to common sense.
3. a person who is v. ostentatious or condescending when engaged in the above behavior.

The wikipedant was constantly on her phone, checking and correcting our ENTIRE conversation.
