open relationship

when two people are seeing eachother and agree to see other people as well, except one of the two people doesnt really want to be in an un exlusive relationship and winds up getting hurt. To put it simply two people that are dating eachother but one of them is getting more screwed than the other.

Im really into you but not into you enough to not go plant my seed elsewhere so I think we need to be in an open relationship.

Opposite to a private joke, a joke which anyone can join in with at any time. However, because of the possible scale of an open joke, it is much easier to kill and gets old much faster than a private joke.

Due to the nature of an open joke, specific times, people or places are usually not crucial to its execution.
