Expectations

Expecting miracles to happen or be worked is expecting the impossible to become reality. Expecting changes to happen when someone's fingers are snapped.

The teenager committed suicide because he thought he owed somebody impossible expectations, when really he didnt need to change anything about who he was, he was only human, and not perfect. He hadn't lived long enough to realize he didn't owe anybody anything, or that one day he would know that life really was a beautiful thing, but that there would still be people in life he had to fight his entire life, and that they weren't strong enough to make life something other than beautiful, no matter how hard they tried.

Expectations

Impossible or unrealistic expectations are not something anybody is going to live up to.

Some people were expecting the guy to work himself out until he physically resembled Superman in order to keep his job, and since drugs were like kryptonite, they didn't want him to touch any drugs, they wanted him to comly with their agenda, their program. Their expectations were never really realistic, since the guy was always going to end up doing human shit like everybody else did.

Impossible or unrealistic expectations are not something anybody is going to live up to.

Some people were expecting the guy to work himself out until he physically resembled Superman in order to keep his job. They didn't want him touching drugs, since drugs were like kryptonite, they wanted him to comply with their wholesome agenda/program. They called it lighting a fire under his ass. They could not under any circumstances, let the guy do what they were paying him to do or be human instead of superhuman, they had to turn his best efforts into bullshit over doing human shit that other humans did, and not satisfying their expectations.

Expectations

Telling somebody who already is the way they are to be themselves, then telling them to be more, do more, is an unrealistic expectation.

Unrealistic expectations don't allow anybody to improve on their own terms, so they don't really allow somebody to improve at anything. People don't try to improve at something for or because of a program. Really, they are better off deprogramming themselves, and unplugging from the bullshit.
