Flair Quote

Adding air quotes to a sentence, without justification, usually used as a desperate maneuver when trying to keep an uninterested audience's attention. Often the audience must ponder the speaker's intent, searching for a double meaning that is rarely forthcoming.

Can be used in conjunction with if you know what I mean

Person using Flair Quote: ...So, after I poured the orange juice I "'Toasted'" a bagel, if you know what I mean.

Person 2: Uhm, no...?

In opposition to the previous defition, retard quotes are, if anything, those next to the enter key on a standard keyboard. That is not a proper quotation mark, it is the symbol for inches. Because space on a keyboard is limited, this symbol is doubled-up, to also be used as a quotation mark, creating the so-called "straight quotes."

The use of the back-tick (`) to indicate opening quotes and the single tick (or foot mark, ') to indicate closing quotes has been standard in word processing and digital typesetting for decades. Perhaps this usage is pedantic and annoying to some--especially those that like 2 talk w/ few leters--but this hardly makes it retarded.

A bunch of teenagers that take everything seriously. The site is full of sensitive drama queens that need to deactivate, they are called 'clowns' when really they should be called retards. They're embarrassing. It used to be a place where you can just chill and make some quizzes, but now the focus is on the feed and the people who poison it because everyone has boring lives in reality. Roleplay is a cry for help. You got the hypocrites that chat shit none stop but claim that it's everyone else that is the problem, most 19 year olds that will amount to nothing go on here to start drama with minors because they are spastics that need to go get a job. Kpop fans have seizures if you disagree with them, anime accounts have breakdowns if you say their stan is only a cartoon, toxic people that are transphobic racist, snakes or want to start stuff for attention mostly get praised. Everyone has done something bad on Quotev, although everyone seems to have a list of people and waste their time making YouTube videos because that's how petty Quotev is.

Stay off this site because it will ruin your lives and the people on there ARE ALL toxic and seriously shitty people.
