Home Alone

1. From the 1990 Chris Columbus hit, "Home Alone" in which an eight year-old, who is accidentally left behind while his family flies to France for Christmas, has to defend his home against idiotic burglars. To "home alone" something is to set up traps, usually to the physical disadvantage of the intruder. The following are just examples of the painful surprises included in this term:

*Blowtorch rigged to door

*Fan and feathers rigged to tripwire

*Heated iron attached to lightbulb

*Tar on basement steps, massive nail hidden in one step

Example One:
"Jesus, somebody broke into my car! That's the second time this year!"

"Dude, you better home alone it."

Home Movies

A hilarious show by Brendon Small about an unenthusiastic eight-year-old of the same name, who makes movies with his best friends in the basement. It used to be first on the adult swim line up once upon a time, gradually got pushed back, disappeared for a while, made a comeback, did some other stuff, and then was forgotten forever.

The base of the comedy of Home Movies is the lack of a specific script-- a general idea is drawn out, and most of the episode is improvised (hence the noticable monotone, and awkward-sounding conversations). Originally filmed in squigglevision (outlines squiggle alot) but then the idea was scrapped because squigglevision is incredibly annoying.

Home Depot House

A house which is so obviously made primarily from lower-priced parts (e.g. light fixtures, mailboxes, floor moldings, etc.) found at the Home Depot. Oftentimes built by low-end contractors to keep costs low.

OMG, that is such a Home Depot House, they couldn't even afford a real front-door.
