Britney Jean Spears. Born on December 2nd, 1981. Raised in Kentwood, Louisiana.
The singer/performer that everyone has loved for 12 years.
Britney appeared on Star Search at the age of 10. She sang “I Don’t Care” and “Love Can Build A Bridge” with her strong, mature voice. She was a finalist, and came 2nd.
From the ages of 11-13, Britney was a Mouseketeer, along with future pop sensations Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake in the last 2 seasons of The New Mickey Mouse Club.
In 1997 at the age of 15 1/2, Spears signed with Jive Records and began work on her first album.
She was told by the record company that her low singing voice wouldn’t spawn hits, so they created her higher singing voice that she is known for now.
