bacon shellshock

A condition one suffers from after experiencing the severe emotional stress of the pop/crackling and subsequent splattering of molten-hot grease during the frying of bacon. Though one need not actually be splattered with hot grease and burned, each pop and crackle of the frying bacon causes one to duck and cover in mortal fear.

Shellshocked

An individual that may be traumatized by a war, commonly the world wars but perhaps the cold or Vietnamese war, the effects are kinda like Parkinson's disease but much more powerful, the person struggles to move but can, and cannot sit still, the person will often struggle to sleep because they are so traumitized.

My Great grandfather survived the war, but he came home shellshocked

Sheetshock

Being left terrified after one of those moments where you feel like your falling whilst drifting in and out of sleep. Often the sufferer is unable to move, and cannot face sleep for several minutes.

One can also be classified as suffering from sheetshock if they have been sufficiently scared or made nervous by another person jolting in their sleep.

Guy-Ahh! My god that was bad sheetshock...Damn I need a drink but I can't move.

Shell Shock

A slang term for "post-traumatic stress disorder". A condition which often occurs for those who have been in active combat. Can affect the body in various ways, but can be treated.

He was suffering from a serious case of shell shock after 'nam.
