There were many gangs in the 1960s. Some examples were the Surenos, Latin Kings, the Bloods, and the Crips. They were some of the most well-known gangs in the 1960s. The Bloods and Crips were well known rivals. The Surenos were founded in 1968 in Southern California. They pay tribute to the Mexican Mafia. Most of the gang members are Mexican-American. The Crips started out as schoolyard bullies with their leader Raymond Lee Washington
