phrase used to tell someone that there is a brighter side to the problem they are facing. the phrase comes from the fact that, every dark rain cloud has a silver edge, or lining.

max: my son says hes gay

tom: well, look at the brightside, you dont have to worry about him knocking up some random girl

A non-English speakers mis-pronunciation of “linen” which ends up sounding like “lin-it” instead.

“Do you know how clean this linen is?” asks the hotel guest.

“I don’t know the linit was change. I change it.” says the maid.

lining

Applies to guys as well as ladies. Getting your head lined up just means that they making the edge of your hair not look all scraggly and messed up looking. In some parts, they call it a shape up. A lining is included by default in a haircut, but some folks ask for it separately if they're growing out their hair, got their hair braided, or just have somewhere to be and want to look fresh and clean cut.

"How much y'all linings cost?"
-"$12"
"Y'all take link cards?"
-"Get yo dusty bum ass outta here"
