It's funny how most of these people love making fun of the suburbs, when half of them likely live there. Only crude stuck up white kids would write about these things, since most people in an urban landscape don't really give a shit.

Suburbanite

A person who does not live inside the city limits of Boston, Mass. Many of them grew up in the suburbs or lived in the city until they were five then moved to the North or south shore or some bumfuck town out on the pike. If you do not live in Southie, Mattapan, Roslindale, Westie, Eastie, Charlestown,Downtown, Dorchester, JP, Hyde Park, the North End, Roxbury etc, you are a not from Boston and therefore should stop saying you are from boston. Many suburbanites come to Boston on the weekend with their Red Sox hat and walk around like their the shit and act like they are from the city. They fail to realize that there are other parts of the city. People in the neighborhoods like Dot and Southie say we are from southie and Dot not Boston. Many native bostonians despise these outsiders and fakes with a passion. Suburbanites don't have the right to say they are from boston: they dont put up with the crime, shootings, high taxes, dirty streets, lack of parking spaces, increasing yuppies, traffic, homeless people etc.

Me- "Hey where ya from"
Suburbanite- "I'm from Boston"
Me- "What part"
Suburbanite- "I live in Wellsley"
Me- " Oh your one of those ignorant rich suburbanites who acts like they are from the city huh, please drop the act and kill yourself"

A person that lives in an area that is void of any culture. A suburbanite frequents strip malls and goes to Home Depot with the mindset that these are the only options they have and wonder why. Suburbanites live a life of apathty and allow things to happed around them and do nothing about it. They are content without having independant businesseses in their communities. Instead, they support Starbucks or WalMart companies that contribute nothing to their community that surburbanites pay taxes in. Suburbanites live in the land of make believe. Suburbanites learn everything about the outside world from the televlision.

If you hear someone say something ignorant, racist or sexist, justs ay "go back to surburbia" or "you're such a surburbanite".

new suburbanist

A dilussional version of a 'new urbanist'. A person that buys a new condo in a newly rehabilitated building in any downtown - then bitches about the noise, smells and crime. Drives three blocks to work, preaches the evils of fossil fuels and never takes the bike off the top of the car.

These people will also vote to spend sacks of tax dollars on miles of bike paths - that go NOWHERE. NO fucking WHERE!

"I wonder how much extra fuel I am using with that bike on top of my car - I mean per year? Hang on - I see a crowd - I think I'll go over and walk with them."

"Boy, you are one silly son of a bitch, a real 'new suburbanist'. Why don't you sell your spot downtown and move yourself out of harms way?"

The condition in which one is so bored of their seemingly perfect suburban lifestyle to the point where they feel the need to rebel, do bad in school, etc. to fufil their boredom.

Mindless consumers who live in engineered neighborhoods. Have no opinion on anything until popular culture and media tell them how to think. Have to define themselves with posessions, because they have no personalities from years of corporate brainwashing. Suffer from the delusion that everyone wants their life, when in fact they do not.(Sometimes even they don't, but their programmed minds would never let them admit it.) Mistake insults and pity towards them for jealousy and envy. Go through life with blinders, failing to see or comprehend anything that is not right in front of their eyes.
Their infectious ignorance and baseless arrogance are the reasons other countries hate the U.S. so much.

Suburbanitus

A person infected with suburbanitus usually lives in an upper class suburb outside a big or moderately sized city. They have 2.5 kids and live in sprawling houses in gated communities or the like. They drive 80,000 dollar SUVs such as Cadillac Escalades or Lincoln Navigators. Also in their garage, it is very likely to see a black four door sedan such as a Mercedes, BWM, Maserati, or Lexus. They believe that they have to impress everyone in a 100 mile radius, so they file to their local shopping center to waste their money on name brand clothing such as 150 dollar north face fleece, 300 dollar True Religion Jeans, and those ever so ugly UGG boots. They then walk to the food court and buy a 4 dollar coffee at Starbucks. Most victims of suburbanitus are fake dicks and think they're better than everyone else, though not admitting it, and giving the fake vibe that they love everyone. The children of the infected usually have a 50,000 dollar car by time their 15 and don't even have a license, they also love to cause unneeded drama to fulfill their empty shallow lives. Most people in the city despise suburbanites.
