sexism

A term normally quoted by feminism.

It's used when a woman/male is pressured in a social situation to say or act in some way based on their gender.
When we say that boys are not supposed to cry because they are males, it's sexism.

If a woman is expected to clean the dishes, but not a male of his same age, it's sexism.

Sexism

Sexism is very real in our world and the definitions I have found are not great so I'm putting one out myself.

Sexism is discrimination of a male or female based on their gender and gender stereotypes, this is shown for females with the wage gap and comments often heard, and for males it is shown with the expectations they are held to that they are expected to meet while females aren't due to their gender, they are also less likely to gain custody of a child in a court hearing, and jobs they are "supposed" to have and for both, Magazines showing what they "should" look like.
Female sexism:
"That chick looks like such a whore"

"That chick should be in the kitchen not out there trying to be a cop" Male sexism:
"Your too sensitive to be a guy"

"Man Up!"

None of these comments are true if you hear one of these things being said STAND UP TO IT! or ignore it because you can be whoever you want don't let sexism get in your way.

Sexism

Basically look up some definitions of feminism or feminist on this site and that is sexism. Sexism occurs more commonly for females but it often occurs for males too.
"Women can do the same job as men, but won't always get paid the same amount. This is sexism."

"Men who are skinny are seen as weak, however women who are skinny are seen as attractive. This is sexism."

reverse sexism

Not a thing. If you judge someone based entirely on their sex; it's just plain old sexism.

Sometimes used to suggest that sexism can only go one way (say, males can only be sexist against females) and that if a male experiences sexism it's not really sexism; it's reverse sexism. Or the opposite of sexism.

This is designed to downplay or justify the sexism the male is experiencing.

As a term, reverse sexism is as realistic as reverse theft. A Klan member may suggest that if a white person steals from a black person it's reverse theft.
I understand that you are being denied access to the domestic violence shelter because you're a man, but that's NOT sexism; it's only reverse sexism.

Sexism

An attempt for ignorant women to complain that they aren't treated equal, when they are.
Can women vote? yes
Then why do they still think they aren't treated equal?

sexism

Men have to live by the rules women invent, but women don't.
Sexism: When a man leaves a woman after 25 years, that's "abandonment', but when a woman leaves a man after one, that's "moving on with her life"; when a man has a fantasy involving two women, that's "perverted", but when a woman has a fantasy involving a man and a horse, that's "romantic".
