Och Aye.

Scottish colloquial expression.

Generally used more in order to parody or caracature a Scots-English accent than it is used in real usage by Scottish people. Particularly when combined with the suffix expression "the noo".

Technically, it means "oh yes". But generally with an emphatic edge which would place it closer in meaning to "of course". Elevated pronounciation would infer the added in meaning of "isn't it/that obvious?".

The phrase itself is heavily susceptable to region variation of exact pronounciation.
Q: "So are you wanting tae go tae the rugby on Saturday?"
A: "Och aye. Widnae miss it like."

och härm

You can use it to let others know that you are feeling with them I’m bad times/situations or to let them know that you find anything extraordinary cute.

How do you mean it and how others understand which version of Och härm it is, you have to pitch your voice a little at the second one like if you would say aww to a cute puppy

The word was invented by a dialect called oercher platt which is spoken in Alemannia, Germany.
Och härm, I’m so sorry this happened to you.

Och härm, this puppy is so cute
