The act of calling someone whilst being intoxicated. This is a VERY BAD idea. These calls are usually made to someone of the opposite sex or a relative. Can generally result in break ups, make ups or throwing up.

Maria and I were out and she tried drunk dialing. But, I told her that friends don't let friends dial drunk.

Reverse Drunk Dialing

Calling someone when you know they're drunk. This is a very strategic call because its a good way to get information you wouldn't normally get from a sober person (unlike the opposite, drunk dialing, in which you call someone and make a fool of yourself).

I had a hunch she was into me, so since I knew she was partying, I reverse drunk dialed her. Sure enough, I got into her pants that very night! Reverse Drunk Dialing is awesome

a very bad, uncontrollabe urge to call someone (usually the opposite sex or your boss) on the phone after an evening.....or afternoon in some sad cases......of heavy alcohol intake. Will usually result in the loss of friends, job, your reputation, and self respect.

After the bachelorette party, while inebriated, Susan decided that drunk dialing could be the foolproof way get back together with the guy who dumped her months ago. To no one's surprise.......the plan backfired and everyone now points at her and laughs.....including the guy who dumped her months ago.

A phone call not just while under the influence as many say but because you ARE under the influence. Alcohol makes people more talkitive and open, therefore calling people to talk is much more likely under the circumstances. The following call (usually from a male to a female) is entitled "drunk dialing"
