ICarly effect

An unusual case in which a dorky boy becomes manly over the course of puberty. This also seems to blondes, so as to say water the crops. However, said effect leaves young maidens of the brunette completely unaffected.

Person1: What happened? Freddy got hot, Sam did too and Carly, meh.

Person2: That's the ICarly effect for ya.

plateau effect

Muscles not growing or gaining strength because you do the same exercise over and over without enough weight or resistance.

He only lifts 15 pound dumbbells. It's not wonder he suffers from the plateau effect.

cliff effect

The cliff effect is when a digital signal (music/photo/video) 'falls off a cliff' when it fades out because the receiver can no longer tell which part of the wave is a digital 1 or 0, and there are more errors than can be corrected. The output of analog signals will get worse and worse in quality as it fades out and fail gracefully. This is especially a problem with digital cell phones because, rather than getting a more staticky call, it just drops the call completely.

A scratched vinyl LP record will still play, though at reduced quality while a CD will suffer the cliff effect when even so much as a fingerprint gets on it.

The Pussy Effect

When one watches a scary movie with friends who are easily scared by said movies ,"Pussies", resulting in a more frightening movie experience.

I'm not sure that the movie was that scary, or if it was just the pussy effect.
