Short for fixed price quotation.
A (usually written and time limited) fixed price offer to supply goods and/or services. In response to a consumer request.

quotatious

Adjective. Used to describe a piece of writing that is comprised mostly of quotations from other sources. Common in high school and undergraduate writing.

In conversation:

TA 1: Did you finish grading that paper?

TA 2: Yeah. It was OK, but quotatious as hell.

TA 1: I hate that.

In action:

While "we can only know so much about this topic," (Source 1), it is vital that we remember "the importance of quoting quotes" (Source 2). Additionally, "quotes are of vital importance," (Source 3) and make up "a large part of our language" (Source 4). In conclusion, this is "an easy way to write papers" (Source 5); furthermore, it "facilitates laziness" (Source 6), "pads paper length" (Source 7), and allows the author to "appear intelligent and well-read" (Source 8).

One who writes quotes, whether they are motivational or inspirational. As there is no official word for it, this one should be used. The word was formed by Tony John Williams in 2021.

Megan: I will write one for you, as I am a quotearian.

quotewall

A quotewall is an 'argument-from-authority' debating tactic used by paranoid conspiracy theorists and similar people which they believe lends credence to their ideas. It consists of a group of quotations, typically between five and fifteen, from eminent-sounding names (usually with impressive sounding qualifications) who appear to support the idea that the conspiracy theorist is advocating. On closer inspection though, while some quotations may be honest representations of fact and of the opinion of the quotee, it is more common that the quotations are taken out of context, or purposefully misinterpreted, or intentionally maliciously edited to make it appear that the quotee is supporting the conspiracist's view. It also regularly happens that the quotee has insufficient understanding, or no understanding at all, of the topic to be able to pronounce upon it with any authority in the first place.

Sheesh! Did you see that Professors of Medieval English Literature quotewall which claimed that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by hobbits?
