Outrage Inflation

The reduction in the meaningfulness and relevance of individual controversies as they are swallowed in a sea of other concurrent controversies and outrage. Comparable to economic inflation.

A symptom of the Internet age and the neverending cycle of overreaction, bitterness and hostility. It is not necessarily entirely a reflection of the proliferation of controversy over minor events, given that the news is also filled with many shocking events of great magnitude. The fact that it is easy to forget what mind-numbingly stupid thing Donald Trump said two weeks ago is also a symptom of outrage inflation.

We'll all soon forget that time Trump nearly declared war by mistake thanks to outrage inflation and the 24-hour news cycle.

sexual inflation

For Guys:
Embellishing sexual encounters in frequency or grandeur;
When someone fronts about a sexual experience or story;
Can also be used when a guy is trying to make a potentially loose girl seem like she's not, because he likes her. The rational is that all girls are getting sexed more than back in the day, relatively speaking a girl that has slept with 5 or 6 guys at the age of 26 is basically a virgin.

For Girls:
Usually involves sexual deflation. A downplaying of the lewdness or number of sexual encounters, in order to not seem like a total slut.

"He was trying to tell me he'd got with 8 shorties during this orgy at spring break, but with all the sexual inflation involved with spring break stories, I doubt any of it happened.";

-"My girl has probably been with about 4 guys i would think, 5 at most. And I can deal with that. I mean, in this day and age...."
-"haha. Totally, with sexual inflation and all"

Infatuitis

n. a disorder of the heart caused by having substantial exposure to extremely attractive individuals and their extremely attractive bodies.

Symptoms include
- an unreasonable, extravagant passion or lust for the individual whom the patient may hardly know
- overlooking imperfections in personality of the individual
- obsessive thoughts or daydreaming about the individual and their extremely attractive bodies
- the inability to concentrate the task at hand
- romantic delusions of grandeur
- an effort to 'understand' the individual
- fb stalking of the individual

and a general loss of overall dignity and integrity.

The disorder may last from a few weeks to even a few months depending on the patients resistance to such deluded thoughts and the patients exposure to the individual and their extremely attractive bodies.

There is no known cure as yet.
