propaganducational

A media production—usually a film, video, or slideshow—that pretends to be educational but is actually thinly veiled corporate, political, or ideological propaganda. Often produced in the mid-20th century, these films feature chipper narrators, grainy footage, and a suspiciously one-sided message about how great insert industry or social norm here is.
Think: safety films funded by insurance companies, food industry promos disguised as "nutritional education," or 1950s family values PSAs that somehow always lead back to buying more processed meat.
"We had to watch some propaganducational film in health class about how margarine was a gift from science and butter would kill us by age 30."
