A periodic mass ritual legitimising the delegation of popular sovereignty to an empowered few, performed in the name of “democracy” but in reality employed often to consummate its usurpation.
Just as how most students only study for exams rather than for intellectual and spiritual enrichment, most politicians (in a “democracy”) only work for elections rather than serving and leading the people with compassion and vision.

Get the tri-electedmug. The biggest dissapointment the world has seen since Dollar Tree went to $1.25! Trust me, it is. It will be talked about till the end of time, I will tell my nieces and nephews, they will tell their kids and siblings kids, who will tell their kids and siblings kids, and so on. They will all tell about the dissapointment of the results of the election. From Trump winning, to Bernie winning, to Issue 1 failing, it's pretty clear why this election will be one to remember.
