forgetting which floor one is on. It usually occurs in a high-rise where all the floors look similar.

He was supposed to go to the sixth floor but due to floor amnesia he landed on the seventh floor.

I had to look up something on the google, but as soon as I opened a new tab I instantly got tab amnesia, stared at my screen a minute, and viewed some porn instead.

fiscal amnesia

1. when you have a job skill set that is being exploited to a level outside of your pay grade and you conveniently forget how to use that skill set. (commonly occurs when a corporation refuses to acknowledge the exploitation of skill sets they aren't currently paying for but expecting at bottom dollar) See: holding out for more money.
2. when a party wants something that you know but holds out for money feigning to not recall the details. (seen in many movies)

Manager: oh you know how to program Cisco switches but you are an under paid hourly guy. hmm.. how about you go ahead and deploy that new network segment.
Employee: Yea, how about compensation commensurate with that skill set.
Manager: How about you do it or look for other employment.
Employee: Yea, sorry I was mistaken, I am suffering from fiscal amnesia at this point.

"Where is the guy we are looking for?"
"Sorry my memory is a little hazy."
"Does this Franklin change your mind?"
"Well what do you know, I think I remember now.. he is staying in that apartment upstairs at 1549 fourth street... 3b."

underwear amnesia

Almost exclusively attributed to females who go out in public having 'forgotten' to put on their underwear, specifically their knickers / panties. It is often suggested that they do this purely to shock or to draw attention to themselves, particularly when exiting cars or deliberately bending over, for publicity or other reasons.

Several celebrities are said to have suffered from this problem on various occasions, in particular Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.

Underwear amnesia is not to be confused with going commando which is where someone, male or female, deliberately does not wear any underwear as a matter of personal choice for comfort, hygiene or other reasons, the difference being that people going commando will not deliberately seek to draw attention to the fact that they are not wearing underwear.

The movie character Catherine Tramell, played by award-winning actress Sharon Stone in the 1992 movie 'Basic Instinct', famously suffered from underwear amnesia, as we discovered in the leg-crossing scene during her interrogation at the police station.

When you've been buying all your stuff on Amazon and you forget where to find it in the actual store.

"Excuse me, I have Amazon Amnesia, where can I find the toilet paper? My Amazon subscribe and save isn't here yet and I'm all out."
