Respect the bird

The bird and its companion, the hat, are destined to be rulers of the world. In ancient greek, the bird is "life". If you kill the bird, there is no more bird. False respect

When somebody tries to make it seem like they respect somebody they don't really respect to get them to do something they want them to do (to get the best of somebody). Not everybody will pretend to respect somebody, but a lot of people will.

Lucky for you, you never needed the guy's false respect (or true respect) to keep going.

Gained respect

Gained respect can also become lost respect, just like gained trust can become lost trust.
