skeeterpee

n. A Pruno made from lemonade or lemon juice.

The method of producing alcoholic lemonade.
Name so-called from the usually yellow color of the liquid and is generally a quick thirst quencher on a hot humid day.

Skeeterpee is generally any lemonade recipe with yeast added in and allowed to ferment for 3 to 4 days. Yeast is generally sourced from the slurry after a primary wine or beer fermentation. Since this slurry usually contain live yeast which would otherwise be discarded, it is generally the most cost effective way of making an alcoholic beverage that does not contain artificially added flavor or color.
